The present church of The Saints Philip and James the Apostles Parish is the third stone church in Lagonoy completed in the year 1874. It is one of the oldest stone church in the province of Camarines Sur, thanks to its stewards who have preserved its original internal and external structure over the years. If you are in Lagonoy, the Saints Philip and James the Apostles Parish is very easy to spot because it remains as the primary Roman Catholic church in town. It is located in the heart of Lagonoy a few steps away from the municipal hall. From the city of Naga, you can simply use a bus ride to the town of Lagonoy. The last drop of passengers is in Lagonoy bus terminal where you can take a tricycle or "padyak" going to the old church.
